Customer's Fault Description
Won’t power on, was intermittent then nothing.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Electric fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmiting on each button press as per norm,al operation.
The controler was opened to check for defects and there was signs of decomposition of the button contacts on the button array (see image). It is not known if this is the issue or even if it is the receiver at fault.
After talking to the customer it was decided to replenish the button contacts on the remote. Replacement conductive pads were glued into place and the PCB cleared of all contaminants.
