Customer's Fault Description
Battery leaked. But apparently only a little. just blowing removed the white dust. It looks clean now and the contacts/spring look arent even matte. As I put another battery, lights went on and flickered. But remote didn't work correctly. Days later, as I had a new battery, the remote looked dead. No light went on. No function anymore. Inside, there is a little damage.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely from Switzerland and on testing was found to be dead. On opening there was damage to the print around the terminal points.
The terminals were resoldered and then the button contacts cleared of all contaminants, this restored full functionality.
Please note that when fitting the batteries the remote will not transmit for a few seconds on start-up, this is normal and after a few seconds the remote will function as normal.
Codeset for this remote is "Twinmaster RECS80 08A Mid" - We can create a clone of this remote if requested at a further 20 UK pounds, this is optional, if a clone is required as a backup please send an email with the request.
