Teac Remote Repair Details
This Teac Multidisc cd player and amp combo remote control arrived safely and on testing was initially found to function as normal.
During a call with the customer the remote did one time send an erroneous signal on the volume button press.
When the remote was opened there was a large amount of corrosion on the PCB from a battery leak, this was all reworked and sealed using solder mask and then the oscillator replaced.
The remote was tested over a 24 hour period with no issues being replicated.
With such an intermittent issue it is not 100% known if the fault is resolved, therefore the customer is to test the remote on return. We guarantee the remote for a full 12 months and if an issue does re-appear please do contacts us.
It is thought that the acid contamination may have been partially conductive causing the issue.
