Customer's Fault Description
LCD screen is faint, shower functions ok, apart from the off button doesn't work (i have to turn off via the mains isolator). The on button works on the remote ok though?
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Shower remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to not respond to its power button every time and also the display was faulty.
The power button issue as found to be due to a corrosion spot in the print causing two intermittent open circuits. The print was reworked and the corroded battery terminal replaced. This restored power button reliabiltiy.
The customer is to test the remote fully on return, the signal from the remote was tested as strong and consistent on all button presses. The corrosion spots seems to be from the "Pairing" dip switches.
Please note that the display is non repairable as spare screens are not available as spares.
