FAAC MPT1340 TM 418 SL Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Used to be intermittent and would work sometimes if we took the battery out and re-inserted. Now if fails to work at all (the red light in the corner doesn't light up). Other remotes are still working so the gate receiver is fine. Thanks

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Remote fob to open garage gates arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent.

On opening one of the legs to the oscillator was found to have a badly cracked solder joint, this solder was reflowed which then restored full functionality.
