Customer's Fault Description
The cable has had a tug and the plastic that holds the cable and wiring in place has broken away. The wiring must have been tugged also and the handset no longer works. It was fine before this incident.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote control handset for a reclining chair arrived safely and on inspeciotn was found to have a damaged cable at the remote entry point, the cable was cut back and refitted to bypass the damage.
Two of the buttons had also started to decompose, these were cleaned and replacement conductive pads glued under the effected buttons.
