Remote Fixer Repair Response
This LED display board remote control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a missing battery cover with a makeshift customs one created. The original cover cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
The remote would rattle when shook. When tested the signal was found to be intermittent and dependant on the rattle.
When opened the rattle was found to be part of the battery compartment that had broke off and was intermittently blocking the IR leds (See image).
The plastic was hot glued into place in the battery compartment, this will stop the battery from falling inside the remote.
The battery cable was also replaced.
The remote was then tested over a 24 hour period with no further issues being replicated.
