velux Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : velux

Customers Fault Description : down button to shut the blind is not working

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

These three remotes arrived safely and on testing one had no buttons working and the other two had sluggish / non responsive buttons.

All three remotes had missing battery covers, these cannot be replaced as spares are not available and doesn't effect functionality.

The same issue was causing all issues with each remote, this was that the button pads had started to decompose and contamination the PCB (see image).

All button pads were cut and replaced with replacement conductive pads and then the PCB cleared of all contaminants.

This restored full functionality to all remotes.

Obviously each remote transmits its own code, therefore if these are to be used on a single window then when going from one remote to the other the customer will need to pair the remote with the window.
