Customer's Fault Description
Remote won't power on. Tried new batteries but nothing.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This electric fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to transmit on all buttons as normal., the top two buttons were sluggish in response though.

When opened there was a mass of contamination over the top two button contacts and pads.  This is due to the conductive carbon pads decomposing and contamination the PCB (see image).

The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glued under each of the button pads.

The customer is to test the remote fully on return, as the remote was transmitting when tested it is hoped that the issue was the contacts, if the remote does not effect the heater then the heater itself may be at fault.  Please do contacts us if this is the case.
