Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Pre amp stereo system remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to have numerous non functioning buttons.

There was signs of a battery leak but this was not the cause of the issue.  The fault was found to be due to the main IC creeping out of its sofcket (see image).  The IC was re-seated and then hot glue used to stop it creeping out again.  This restored full functionality.,
