Customer's Fault Description
battery changed, still doesn't work. Was dropped on floor so likely something knocked out of place.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This John Lewis Cooker Hood remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have assembled incorrectly (the button caps were upside down).
On testing the remote was dead, this was due to one of the battery terminals being bent out of position, this usually happens when a battery is inserted upside down.
The terminal was reworked which restored full functionality. The case was then reassembled correctly.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return, it is important to make a not of the correct battery orientation when it is time to replace the battery.
