Charlton & Jenrick Infinity CF 600 Remote Repair Details

Model : Infinity CF 600

Customers Fault Description : The gas fire remote for our Infinity fire CF 600 has been damaged. We had a service and he confirmed the remote is the reason the fire will not work. The remote lights up but the ignition doesn’t even come on. We also tested using our neighbours Infinity CF 600 remote on our fire and when we did use that the fire worked.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have no RF signal present.

On opening there was some scratches in the print which is in a place not accessible without dismantling the remote first, these were etched back to check for open circuits, non could be found.  On Further inspection under a microscope, unfortunately there is also a few physically broken components on the RF board.  Due to the lack of schematic information a repair is not possible. 

This sort of damage is not a natural issue, and the damage can only be caused by physical damage by a third party.  If the customer has had this at another repair establishment it is recommended to enquire as to how the damage was caused.

As per our sites service details all return postage fees are fixed at £6 - all items are return by Tracked methods to reduce the risk of loss or damage!
