Boston Brake Tester Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Boston Brake Tester

Customers Fault Description : Brake tester remote stopped working. Possible diaode or something on board is insecure

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on testing was initially found to be transmitting as per normal operation.

When talking to the customer the fault decided to show and the remote was then dead.

This was found to be due to a faulty oscillator (one of the pins was broken and intermittently touching) 

Once a replacement oscillator was fitted normal functionality weas restored.
