Valor Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Valor
Customers Fault Description : Elderly remote. Wiring snapped off & the pad which attaches to the batteries is missing. Short ends of both black and red wires are showing. It was working before the wires were damaged and subsequently worked with a makeshift repair where I spliced the wires back together. This came adrift and the battery pad was lost. I think it just needs rewiring and a replacement pad. The slide in ‘lid’ is also missing but we can live without it if you can’t fit a replacement.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing and the cable was damaged.
A replacement battery cable was fitted which restored full functionality.
A replacement battery cover was fitted as a spare was available from a scrap remote.
