Luxman and Quad RA 18 Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Luxman and Quad

Customers Fault Description : volume button turns up butt the down button doesn't reduce the volume
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
These two remote controls arrived safely and on testing the quad remote was initially transmitting but after a minute of testing the remote would die.
This was opened and there were bad solder joints on the terminals and the IR LED was reading erroneous. The solder was reworked and the IR LED replaced which restored full functionality.
The Luxman remote was confirmed to have a faulty down volume button, this was the button itself, once replaced full functionality was restored.
