Customer's Fault Description
Rubber buttons are old and worn out, meaning it's almost impossible to activate the remote which operates both the immobiliser and central locking systems
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the remote was found to have intermittent functionality.
This was found to be due to two issues, the first being that the LED was cracked and one of the terminals was found to have corrosion from a battery leak (see images).
The LED was replaced and then the terminal ertched clean, This restored full fucntionality.
The rubber pads on top of the buttons is tacky but these cannot be replaced as spares are not available bit it doesn't affect functionality.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
