Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Cooker Hood (JLCEILHD87) remote arrived safely and on testing was foudn to be dead. the supplied batter was totally drained. Wehn a replacement battery was fitted the battery would get very warm.
When opened there was a scratch in the print caused by one of the terinals scratching against the print. This was shorting out the battery causing it to drain and overheat.
The print was reworked using solder mask and the terminal bent slightly to prevent further shorting.
Full functionality was restored.
A Duracell battery will be supplied fitted on return.
