Electric Heater Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Electric Heater
Customers Fault Description : The remote for my electric fire has stopped working. I've changed the batteries twice, but still not working. No buttons work. There's no manufacturer name on the fire, only a label with the model number.
Model: TF-1521ERA
I suspect it came as part of the fireplace, but I ripped it out 6 years ago when I moved in, but kept the fire and plug it in every winter. It's worked fine for the past 6 years.
I googled the model name, but nothing relevant came up, except a model with a similar name, but when I checked online, the fire and remote are totally different. It was Phantasy TF-1561ERA. So I thought "Phantasy" might be the brand, but can't find anything with my model number, so I've no idea.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Electric Fire remote control arrived safely and on testing the power button was found to be non functioning. On opening this was found to be due to decomposing button contacts. The PCB and Button was cleared of all contaminants and then replacement conductive pads were glued under each of the buttons. Full functionality was restored.
