This brake tester remote control arrived safely and on testin g waas confirmed ot have a top row of non functioning buttons. This was due to a open circuit in the ribbon cable for the facia. This was damaged due to a long screw used to hold the battery cover in place, this had broken through the cable and cause the open circuit.
The ribbon was bridged using SCP and then the screw replaced with a much shorter one. Full functionality was restored.
