Renault/Tomtom Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The indicator on the does not light when you press any button.this means that i cant use the sat nav in my van
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This TomTom remote arrived safely and on testing appeared to be dead.
On opening the button array facia had signs of a previous opening (see image)
The nthe circuit was powered out of its case the LED did show a very faint LED illumination that would flash in sequence, indicating some sort of software fault indicator.
Sadly due to the lack of service information for the ICs on this item a repair is not possible.
A quick google search was carried out and replacements can be found here (use the search for the model / make of car you have)
