SIT Legend fire Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Intermittent operation to start fire. Does not turn gas down when trying to reduce the flame. Think red wine has been spilt over I the past!!
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was held on by tape, this cover cant be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the controller was found to have sluggish button response. All four button were replaced and also contamination over the PCB cleaned up which restored full functionality.
