Customer's Fault Description
Was working then stopped. Thought it was the batteries and when i removed the back, one of the batteries had ruptured. Cleaned off the dry white residue, fitted new batteries but nothing is happening.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Aego home surround sound system remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening there was signs of battery leakage on the PCB near the oscillator. The board was cleared of all contaminants and the oscillator replaced as a precaution which restored full functionality.
