Customers Fault Description : Can’t seem to get it to work tried batteries but no luck

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This remote arrived safely and on inspection there was a break in the facia near the power button and also the seal around the battery cover was missing.

On testing the remote was confirmed to be dead.  On opening there was a mass of corrosion over much of the PCB from waster contamination (see image).

One break in the print was next to the battery trace, this was reworked which restored a signal but sadly the remote only transmits one code and does so repeatedly when a single button press is carried out.

It was eventually concluded that the IC itself was at fault which when coupled with the amount of corrosion has deemed a repair not possible. 

THIS ITEM WAS SCRAPPED AS PER OUR TERMS 29TH SEPT 21
