Customer's Fault Description
The bottom cover partly split with the main body. The remote sends some signals although they are not picked up by the system (blinking lights on the system but no other response).
The battery’s cover loose.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Moon remote control arrived safely and on inspection the case was splitting apart and the battery cover was confirmed to be loose.
When tested the control was found not to transmit on all buttons (some were intermittent in response). When opened this was due to the main IC creeping away from the PCB. This was soldered firmly back into place which restored full functionality.
The case was fitted together firmly and the battery covers retaining clip was bent slightly to give it a bit more of a solid connection. Ideally the battery cover would be best being replaced but as they are not available as spares this cannot be done and doesn't effect functionality.
