Mainly the "up" button as have to press many times before it will connect & always have to put it down with the top cancel button please check them all while you have it.

 

This Sleepeezee bed remote control arrived safely from the Isle of Man.  On first powering up the handset the visible red LED was not illuminating on any button press.  The infra red signal was tested and wound to only function on certain buttons, some buttons were intermittent.

When the controller was opened the problem became apparent, there was a contamination around a couple of the buttons that were causing bad conductivity, this was cleaned up and the pads given an alcohol bath to remove any other contamination and the infra red signal was restored on all buttons.

The visible LED however cannot be repaired as it is down to a faulty IC that only affects the indicator light.  This problem does not affect the functionality of the remote.
