corrosion damage to battery springs

 

This Xtrons handset arrived safely.  On first inspection there were no screws present in the controller and when the battery cover was removed the corrosion was confirmed on the battery terminals.  On opening the control there was also noted that some of the leakage had spread to 2 of the IR leds.  These were replaced and the terminals replenished / replaced.  Full functionality was restored.
