Customers Fault Description : BATTERY DAMAGE
This dimplex fire controller arrived safely and was confirmed to have a battery leakage problem, there were signs of corrosion on one of the terminals and also it had spread to the main PCB (See image). When a power source was added the control was transmitting a signal all the time without a button being pressed. This was due to part of the battery leakage shorting out parts of the print. The PCB was given an alcohol bath and fuill functionality was restored.
