Batteries leaked inside unit and have corroded contacts (not sure if damage is more extensive)
This Velux control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a faulty battery terminal caused by a battery leakage.
The terminal was replaced but the remote remained faulty. The issue was a regulating diode being short, this was replaced and full functionality was restored.
