Customer's Fault Description

on/off button does not always work and sometimes none work. Batteries do not sit well as small retaining lug missing

This Bose controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a "sluggish" on/off button (it would work but only intermittently when pressed very hard)

The battery compartment was also confirmed to have a missing lug that makes the batteries spill out easily when the cover is removed, this does not effect functionality and is non repairable as we cannot repair cosmetic damage.

When opened the suspect buttons were found to have rubber contamination around the PCB contacts (see images), this was causing a high resistance on each button press.

The board was given a alcohol bath and full functionality was restored.
