Customer's Fault Description
put new battery in remote but cant get fireplace to switch on.no light coming on remote

 

This fireplace control arrived and on opening the package there was moisture within the package (possibly due to water contamination in transit).  This didnt seem to have contaminated the control but the pamphlet inside dis have water damage on a couple of pages)

The control was tested and was found to be transmitting but on the power button it was "sluggish".

After talking with the customer it was decided to open the control to restore a more normal button functionality, this was done and there was some contamination found on the PCB button array around the power button.

The board and button contacts were cleaned up which restored a normal button functionality.  The customer is requested to test it out with the fireplace itself.
