Customer's Fault Description
The Gazco thermostatic handset/remote control: The top ("up") button no longer powers the rotary switch - to start up the fire, requiring the switch to be rotated manually.<br />
The lower ("down") button still enables remote control of downward temperature control, and turns the fire off.
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a faulty up signal. The remote was found to be transmitting as normal and therefore the problem was wit the receiver itself.
The 40khz crystal was replaced and full functionality was restored.
