in spite of new battery, remote control switch randomly from "on" to "off" and vice versa, it can happen as well by pushing button like SET or ON/OFF.I tried to glue battery contact(not well aligned with one of the 3 battery) on the back believing of a short circuit but result remains the same
This Copreci fireplace controller arrived safely from France and on testing was confirmed to be randomly losing power for a second and switching between on and off. The battery terminal was contaminated with glue which was causing an intermittent connection but this was not the issue. The main problem was a dry joint on the main PCB power terminal.
This was resoldered and full normal functionality was restored. The terminal was then etched and painted with conductive paint to eliminate the issues caused by the glue
