Customer's Fault Description
Remote was accidentally put through the wash. After being dried out and given some new batteries, the LED on the remote now lights when buttons are pressed, as it should do. However the garage door doesn't respond, so I assume the remote isn't transmitting correctly. I've tried reprogramming it to the door receiver, but the receiver's not recognising any signal, so again, I assume the remote isn't transmitting correctly.
This garage door remote has arrived safely on testing was found not to be responsing at all on the top 3 buttons (not even the LED was lighting). On opening there was signs of corrosion on the battery terminals as well as over a few of the SMD components. The board was given an alcohol bath to remove all contaminants and the buttons etched clean. The battery terminal points were also resoldered. This restored both the button and signal functionality (see testing video)
