Customer's Fault Description
The unit controls our Magiglo gas fire. The ignite buttons should both be pressed to ignite the fire but appear to work by pressing the left-hand button its own. The red light seems to glow all the time with varying brightness.
I have changed the battery but the fault still persists.
This remote arrived safely and on testing was showing erratic behavior whereby the bottom left safety button would send a signal on its own without pressing the up button as is meant to happen.
On opening a tst was carried out and the up button was found to be shorted. The button was replaced and full normal functionality was restored.
