Customer's Fault Description
The Remote does not turn on, it worked a week or so ago. But when you press to power button nothing happens, no lights, no sound/beep, and no communication with the receiver on the van. It just seems dead, tried new batteries, and cannot see if any wires have come off anywhere. Have not donE anything with the controller as are unable to get it apart, so thought we would leave it to the experts. Are you to get it working please advise? regards Derek

 

This caravan motor mover remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead

On opening the issue was found to be surface corrosion on the underside of the pcb which was covering many components including the main IC.  This corrosion was unfortunately was quite damaging and has eaten through a few of the pins of the IC and the print, due to the amount of damage and non availability of the IC it has deemed a repair not possible.
