Simmons R2-T3. MG8 -R2-T Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : both remotes not working at all , just not doing anything

 

These two adjustable bed controls arrived safely all the way from Australia and on testing on was not responding from any button press and the other was constantly sending a signal wihtou a button press.

The first control was found to be due to a power issue, the cables were replacedd and a resistor was changed which was reading erroneoous.  This restore functionality to this control.

The other handset was transmitting due to contamination over the button array.  This was cleaned up and the contacts etched back which restored normal functionality.

Please note that the RED LED indicator light is not illuminating when a button is pressed.  This is actually normal and the LED is only used to indicate when the battery is low in voltage.
