Customers Fault Description : sometimes works,then no, ?? something loose ?
This control arrived safely from the United States and on inspection batteries were in the control (these cannot be returned due to shipping restrictions)
On testing the control was not responding from any button press but when the device was moved whilst pressing sometimes a signal could be found.
On opening the issue was found to be poor solder joints on the battery terminals. These were resoldered and full functionality was restored.
The terminals also had signs of some corrosion so these were recoated with conductive paint to prevent further issues.
