Sony CMT-CP505MD Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : This is a remote I have recently purchased from Ebay. All of the buttons have to be pressed very hard to work, especially the MD, CD, Tuner, Tape, Function and Volume buttons.
This Sony control arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent in operation.
On opening the remote was found to have suffered a battery leakage which had corroded parts of the print around the main IC.
The print was reworked and the PCB was then given an alcohol bath to remove any remnants of the corrosive material.
Full normal functionality was restored.
