Willowbrook Vibradorm Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : All the buttons work when being used but when left for a while will trip the safety button on power unit. When the button is reset the red light on the hand unit immediately illuminates, this does not happen on other handset, the light only illuminates when a button is pressed on the good handset. Have transposed handsets to prove fault! There is damage to the cable. After use the red light slowly dims and if used again will trip straight away.

 

This wired bed controller arrived safely and on inspection the cable was badly damaged.  One opening the control the cable had signs that it had previously been repaired.

The wire solder points on the pcb had badly soldered stray wireds which were intermittently shorting which is the most likely cause of all the issues.

The cable was replaced (the original plug was spliced onto the new straight cable due to its larger than normal pins.

The customer is required to test the item fully on return.
