Customers Fault Description : Black cable has come away from the black tab which attaches to the head of the battery.
Batteries do not last very long, but not entirely sure that this is handset issue?
This fireplace control arrived safely and on inspection the battery lead was confirmed to be faulty.
A replacement lead was fitted which restored full functionality. A draining issue could not be replicated and it is presumed that the battery's were draining due to the faulty cable possibly shorting.
The included battery was disposed of in case it had suffered shorting damage.
