Remote is dead

 

This TV control arrived safely and on inspection had signs of an attempted opening.

On testing there was no signal being emitted on any button press.

The control was opened and the IR Led and oscillator was replaced but still the fault remained.  It was concluded that the IC was at faulty but sadly this cannot be replaced as it is mounted under resin making it impossible to remove.
