Customer's Fault Description
This fire is in Spain and I left the batteries in and they leaked and since then the control doesn't function properly. It Will turn the fire on and off but it will not set the temperature on the auto setting and the temperature cannot be turned down when in manual mode and the fire doesn't react/switch down and or off when any temperature is received? This fireplace controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery terminals did have signs of a battery leakage.
On testing the bottom button was not responding. This was due to a faulty button itself, this was replaced which restored functionality.
The auto setting was set up and as the control was heated it triggered a signal as expected.
The battery terminals were recoated.
