Customer's Fault Description
Remote Unit seems to be not powering up. Have changed batteries and no sign of red light coming on or interaction with caravan unit. Had some batter corrosion last year but cleaned off but there could be further damage.
This caravan mover control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to not be powering up, there was indeed some battery corrosion on the terminals but this was not the issue. A component test was carried out which revealed 2 diodes were reading irregular.
These were ordered and replaced but the dead issue remained, it was then concluded that the issue most likely lay with the main IC which is not obtainable as a spare. This sadly has rendered a repair not possible.
