Customer's Fault Description
There was corroded batteries - I removed and cleaned the contacts the best I could but it still seems not to work.

 

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was transmitting but the receiver was not responding.

The battery block in the receiver had signs of a battery leakage, a replacement block was fitted which restored full normal functionality.
