Customers Fault Description : LCD screen on remote is completely blank, and doesn't show the normal indicators.
Can no longer turn on my Air Con unit.
Before it completely died, the LCD screen was showing a scrambled pattern.
This Aircon controller arrived safely and on adding a power source was confirmed to be dead.
When opened there was a mass of sticky contamination over the button array (see image), this was causing a few short circuits. This contamination was cleaned up using alcohol which restored normal functionality.
