Customers Fault Description : sometimes works for a while then stops. I put in a couple of new batteries but always the same.
This control arrived safely and on inspection the control rattled and had no power.
When opened the "rattling" was caused by a broken battery terminal which was loose inside the handset. This was resoldered back into position and then the remote re-tested, the control had erratic response.
This was due to a faulty oscillator, this was replaced and then the item tested over a few hours and no further issue could be replicated.
