Most buttons not working

 

This AV Control Receiver Model: SA-XR70 remote control arrived safely, there are a few cracks around the cornering of the casing and on testing was transmitting on all buttons but some were needed to be pressed quite hard.

On opening there was some deterioration contamination on a few of the button pads (most likely the most commonly used buttons such as the volume and standby)

The PCB and button pads were cleaned up using alcohol which restored normal functionality.
