Customer's Fault Description
While the controller works fine, it runs down the 9V batteries in a matter of weeks.

 

This gas fire controller arrived  safely and on inspection was transmitting as normal but a diode was heating up.  This was replaced which restored normal temperature.  It was also found that one of the legs of the LED was dry jointed.  This was resoldered and also both buttons were replaced as a precaution.
