Customer's Fault Description
The 9 volt hand controller is fine but the receiver is faulty. It started driving the gas valve without receiving a signal from the hand remote. The only way I could stop it was to remove the batteries. There was signs of corrosion at the battery terminals which I tried remove. I fitted new batteries but now the red LED does not light and the receiver will not respond to the controller.

 

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery block of the receiver had signs of bad battery corrosion.

This corrosion had traveled onto the main PCB and had started corroding the print / components.

The battery block was replaced but sadly the item remained dead, an attempt was made to replace the badly corroded components but again the item remained dead.  Due to the damage a repair is not possible.

A quick internet search had revealed that replacements can be purchased online  please see HERE (please note that we do not sell these items and simply point you in the direction of a seller if we cannot repair your item)

 

This item was scrapped as per the customers email request 27th 8 19
