Remote seems to have failed completely. Did seem to work intermittently with a little pressure on the control but not anymore

 

This surround system control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to no respond from any button press.

On opening there was some corrosion on the PCB due to a battery leakage, the print was reworked which restored full functionality.
